Our story started when Tiago Gawlinski, born and raised in Brasil, arrived in the Netherlands in 1990. In the years after his arrival, he started to miss the Brazilian way of life. After many years working in various hospitality businesses, the idea arose to create a place with a warm and casual Brazilian vibe, where typical drinks and bites can be enjoyed.
With this idea in mind, Tiago opened the doors of Casa Brazuca at the Rijnstraat in Amsterdam in 2008.
A few years later, Tiago started roasting his first batches of coffee on a Giesen W1 at Casa Brazuca, combining his job as a barista with coffee roasting. With the roasting process taking place in front of the customers, a new kind of interaction had sprung to life and Brazuca Coffee was born. To this day, Tiago still carefully selects Brazilian specialty coffees and roasts them with craftsmanship in Amsterdam.
Brazuca Coffee is all about the Brazilian lifestyle: taking a moment out of your day to sit back, relax and drink a cup of coffee. Head over to our Coffee and Accessories page if you want to have a look at our carefully selected coffee beans and coffee equipment.

When you’re making your own Brazuca coffee, it’s useful to know what kind of coffee you’re most likely to appreciate. If you’re new to the specialty coffee scene, our Mistura Fina Seasonal Espresso Blend is the perfect choice for you. We developed this blend nearly 10 years ago, so it’s safe to say we’ve had the time to perfect it over the years. The components of this coffee also depend on the season, so your coffee is always a pleasant surprise. The Paulista Blend is also a great option and is ideal for milk based coffees such as cappuccino and latte.
